Bravo to an unnamed member
Since buying and selling blades over the last year, I've had nothing but honorable treatment from members. Until a couple of months ago. Because I'd been paid with no incident on his prior purchase, I sent blades before getting payment. A couple months go by. I was bummed. The amount is purely trivial, it just hurt to have that kind of disappointment.
A couple wks ago, I got email from the buyer, saying he'd been working many hours for 3 consecutive weeks, and that he'd make it right. Today, he made it right. I guess I'm all excitable at the moment, but it gives me great joy when a man who has stumbled makes something right. It gives me profound respect. I will gladly work w/ this member again and jump through my navel to be helpful. For me, this is cause for real celebration. I hope all of us w/ some decades under our belts give alot of recognition and encouragement to others showing such integrity.
This member made my day.

It's always good to hear when an issue that had potentially "gone south" takes a turn for the better. Congratulations to both parties.

Thanked: 1587What an excellent thing! I cannot remember who it was, but certainly someone wise once said something along the lines of it is not so much the mistakes we make, but what we do when we make them, that is a true measure of a person.
It also gives me great pleasure to see your reaction! Your joy is surely as noteworthy and commendable as this person's actions.

Very cool. This doesn't seem to happen to me. In fact, I recently had to contact the FBI regarding a snake I purchased recently. Straight razor shavers seem to be a little more reliable. I ship most brushes before I get paid so I can charge actual shipping costs.

I think your story just reflects the type of folks that are members of this community.

Pinklather and I have become good friends and we have had some business dealings that at times are almost comical!
The one thing that has been across the board is TRUST! When we first started our relationship I told him how I was raised and this it the basic wording:
If a man will F--k you on a handshake, then he'll figure out a way to F--k you out of the deal on the paper he just signed!!
Tomorrow, I will finally get to meet this wonderful man! Once we meet I'll take great pride to intoduce my son to him!
