Default Just bought my last ebay razor for a while!

I can't believe it! I just got the razor I've been hoping for - it's a 7/8 C. Friedr Schmidt Revisor from mr_barence. 300027227913 I got it for $76 with a last minute bid (snipe).

This definitely has to be my last purchase until I restore and sell some of my previous ebay purchases.

I'm finishing up my first restoration, a Regilo with Bocote woods scales. I'm putting on the final coat of CA shortly. I'll post pictures this week.

In my book this is a screaming deal It is worth much more I think. From what I heard also great shavers. The only (very personal) reason I am not playing for these is that I hate the name

    I hope you enjoy it

Last razor? And the cheque is in the mail. There's no vodka in that drink. Yeah honey, you look great in that dress. Your table should be ready in 15min. No, we don't have a speeding ticket quota. Elect me and I'll lower the taxes, reduce the debt and put more money into the social programs. I think that covers it

Now that you have a Revisor, I have no doubt that you'll never want another razor again. A beautiful 8/8 Hencels Friodur? Nah. A 7/8 Thiers Issard? Nah. Dubl Duck WonderEdge? Of course not. Nice Philly? GoldEdge? Mondesir?

OK.... maybe there are a few more razors begging for a new home after all, huh?

I bid on this same razor but didn't want to go too high since I'm too new at this to know if I'd want a razor that size, and didn't have a very good feel for what it was worth. All I've bought so far are a few $8-$18 razors to practice honing with and maybe clean up or restore if they look like good candidates for that. Congrats on what looked to me like a very fine piece.

Oh so your the dirty rat that came in at the last second and stole that razor from me. Just kidding.

I'll give you 30 days or less and you'll be looking to buy more razors. Anyone for a wager?

Seriously guys - that razor blows more than my budget for the near future.

BTW, turns out there is a small problem with the deal - this morning I received an email explaining that the wrong picture was posted in the ebay ad - instead of the cracked ice scales, it has scales like the friodurs, yellowish. It's still a 7/8 Revisor, etc. but it's not the beautiful scales.

The seller asked me what I want to do at this point. I asked back if he has any other 6/7 or 7/8 revisors to sell. If not, I'll ask for a discount in the price.

PS he found the right razor in another box!!!
