J/A/S/O/N Moisturing Gel
I just picked some up at Whole Foods - it's $5.99 for eight ounces, to use as aftershave - I'll post a report tomorrow.

Tom,
Is the the Aloe Vera 98% Gel? It's pretty decent stuff. I have it, along with the J/A/S/O/N 6-N-1 Beard & Sking Therapy. I prefer the 6-N-1 because it goes on a bit lighter, but both are excellent products. I look forward to your thoughts!

I, too, look forward to some reviews. The local loblaws here has a bunch of the stuff in it's herbal whatever section, and, I wouldn't mind trying some.

I got the 98% gel - I didn't the one you mention RT
They also had a JASON shaving cream and a JASON Hazel-Aloe gel, but I couldn't stand the smell of hte hazel-aloe.
I sampled the 98% gel on my hand and it soaked in quickly.
Because of the dryness here in Colorado, I have terribly dry, cracked hands so, in addition to using it after shaving, I'm going to try it on hands for few days.Last edited by tombuesing; 09-22-2006 at 04:22 AM.

Tom,
It's good stuff. I haven't tried it on my hands. I prefer CornHuskers Lotion for that.
One thing I have noticed, our local Wild Oats (the same or very similar to Whole Foods) is now carrying a product line called Herban Cowboy. Stay away from this junk!

Yea RT, I've tried Cornhuskers, Udder Butter, and most everything else under the sun - the only thing I've found that really works to heal skin cracks is Zim's Crack Cream
In the winter, the tips of my fingers split open - they get infected and build up heavy callous and hurt like hell - I rub in a drop of Zim's several times a day and in two days the crack is healed.
Zim's comes in a liquid to apply directly to cracks and a lotion to rub on.

During the worst of the winter dryness, we lube up ours hands and sleep with cotton gloves on.

I've been using the JASON 6n1 (not the 98% gel), and I really love it. Not a bit of sting, and it really soothes, even taking the "red" out.
Yes, Herban Cowboy, I did not like. I did find, however, this bar soap called Sappo Hill (also at Whole Foods/Wild Oats). It's not even a shaving soap, but it's round and high-glycerin. I may be in love; perhaps I'll mention it in a new thread.
