    Default Some pics

I just uploaded the pics of some of my babies. My skills with the camera do not come close to doing them justice.

The Winner has been a regular in my rotation for a while now. Got it for under $10, it honed easily and I love it. The scales have this translucent quality that looks quite nice but cannot be captured by camera.

The Tonsorial gem is a great looker and shaver. I gave it a nice satin finish that again doesn't like cameras.

This Genco had warped scales and quite a bit of pitting. I got rid of as much as I reasonably could and did a decent job. The finish is actually uniform and looks good once it gets cleaned up. It has the scales from the Torrey razor that I got at the flea market. I will be taking it to the hone tonight.

An update. Gave the Genco a bit of work on the hones and it's ALMOST there. Since I was going crazy on the 4k, I taped up the spine. It was cutting arm hair at every part of the blade, with a bit of pulling, so it will need a bit more work but I can see the light for shaver #8.

It looks as though they could use a bit of metal polish to shine them up a bit.

    I've got a Genco similar to that, except mine's a borderline 4/8.

It's mostly the lighting and my bad lighting/camera work. Otherwise they have a decent satin finish. Well the Genco will need a cleaning after I finish honing it. It had scales very similar to the Tonsorial Gem's scales, but they were warped. Too bad, it would have been a real looker otherwise. At least it should give great shaves once I'm done with it.
