Thread: I just got back from the KC meet

I just got home form the KC meet and I want to publicly thank everyone for their help and kindness.

There were a great bunch of guys there. As a new guy to SRs it was a great opportunity to pick the brains of more experienced folks.

First I want to thank MrDavid for hosting the event and putting it all together.

Mike let me check out a few of his razors a frame back I was interested in and a false frame back with unique grinds. He let me pick his brain about scale materials and such.

Kelly aka Nuntosharp gave me a lot of help with honing. Getting to actually watch and interact is SOOOOOO much more helpful than watching a video or reading text online. The forum is great but actually being able to see someone walk through the entire process is even better.

Anyway, a big thanks to the whole group. Hopefully I will be able to remember everyone's names the next time I see you guys.

I would encourage any newbies interested in razors to find a local group of guys to help you out. It drastically shortens the learning curve.
