Thanked: 1Congrats on getting some control over your disorder. I can also vouch for Lynn's honing abilities. Your razor will come back to you sharper than you ever thought possible. Maybe someone here has a spare razor they would be willing to let go of for a little bit of nothin. There are some very generous folks here. I would certainly part with one of mine if I had any extra to part with. You might also consider one of the "shavette" or Feather type razors. some of them are quite inexpensive. SRD lists them for less than $30. If Lynn is carrying them they must be decent shavers.

Thanked: 1936I would never wish a shavette on anyone that I cared much for. I have tried a shavette & feather (about 6 months ago) & I really didn't care much for the shaves, so I wouldn't recommend them to others, but then again I am literally spoiled with the quality of a shave that only a straight gives. I wouldn't say that a shavette or feather razor cannot give a good shave, but I can say that I was not able to obtain one. Blades felt sharp enough, but just didn't feel smooth at all.
