get a new brush... you have all of the other parts necessary and the only thing that would make a huge difference from your list is a different type of hair (boar, horse, or a different type of badger from your rooney).

I went for a Georgetown G5 scuttle. There's a wide choice of colors, reasonable price, and it is very nice looking. My lather is now much warmer than it was when I was using the sink method.
