I dont mind waiting, I just think I owe it to those who donated to give some results. I don't want them to start wondering where the products they donated went, ya know?

Josh, don't worry about that. You have a high level of trust in this community and we understand your motivations. Just wait for the right person to come by.

I know I am new here but I am pretty sure I have a simple, easy and fun way to determine the winner.

10 applicants, webcams, first one to complete a full 3-pass shave in 60 seconds. This way, you REALLY know the winner earned those fine products.

    JL,

I agree completely with Firestart. I would
trust you completely. If the donors didn't
trush you to begin with - they wouldn't
    have donated the items.

errr...but one, this for someone who doesnt already own a razor, and I would hate to see a newbie (or anyone else for that matter) try to speed shave, then I would feel the need to send a card to them while they were in the hospital recovering from their wounds

A couple of points. First, I donated items because this was a great idea and I trust that they will end up in deserving hands. Second, I trust Josh to manage this thing at whatever pace makes sense to him, particularly given his pending incapacitation. Lastly, I don't see me having a role in any selection process, given my relative newness here. I'm just pleased to have been able to participate. If by some misfortune, things do not turn out as we had hoped, and one of the less than desirable outcomes that have been mentioned occurs, I still would not hesitate to participate in a similar program in the future.

    Just a thought...

That is a good idea, but I also want to make sure it goes to someone who could afford to go out and buy it. I may combine Bill's idea with the nomination idea.

What do you guys think of this:
    1. Individuals could be nominated by any senior member who has been a member over 4 months with a yet to be determined minimal post rating or overall post count.
    2. The "treasure hunt" would be announced 1 - 2 months in advance in a sticky thread so people could be nominated, and so the questions could be determined. This should give us plenty of time and allow for new members to be chosen without rushing
    3. Once the contest begins the first person with all the correct answers would win

Does that sound reasonable? Any comments and suggestions? Anyone willing to help with questions lol???

What (size) is the microvoid coalescence of the martensitic grid structure, when the scattered carbon particles are within .11 and 1.6% and how many small sulfide particles that caused them to nucleate during the plastic flow leading to failure are distributed throughout its volume? And how fine can that be honed?

    Will that do?
