McFly, the opinions you've expressed in this thread don't qualify as "cookie cutter" opinions yet you've been freely allowed to voice them. So far there haven't been posts that agreed with your assessment of SRP or of us moderators. This thread is a living testimony to your being wrong in your assessment of SRP.
I just did a google search for "Welcome to SRP", JimmyHAD I got 5,040 results out of my thousands of posts. How many newcomers have you welcomed to SRP ? If you don't like the way the forum is running use your permissions to post here to make it to your liking instead of pointing a finger at everyone else. When you point a finger at someone else there are three fingers pointing back at you. Examine yourself and see what is going on in your own house.Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Well, if you set a false choice you should expect to be called on it.
So where have you been helping beginners with your expert opinions for the last two years? I'm sure SRP isn't the only place on the internet about shaving. Even if we're the big censor you claim we are, you surely have found your very own way to be helpful somewhere else where you are not threatened.
Let's stop with all that BS and put up some facts.

Great thread!
Without embroiling myself too much in this, I agree (to a very limited extent) with one of his points I think he's alluding to, and that is this:
There are a few haters on this site. Actually, there are haters everywhere (including this site).
I don't mean people that disagree with a point or an idea, but those that take the time to post to tell you that you're idea is dumb and "they'd never do it." You know what I mean...the responses that make you wonder why in the heck the guy took the time to even bother if he had nothing but derision for your idea.
For example, check threads about:
canned shaving cream in a jam: "I'll stick with my shaving soap, thank you"
new products: "looks dumb"
don't even get me started on the towel warmer or the hht.
Like the OP, I don't understand the logic behind the "hatorade" responses. But here's the rub. Who cares? Such is life, no?
If you're worried about people having a certain set of opinions and disagreeing with you ten-at-a-time, I would suggest that you need to thicken your skin a bit. I mean that in the least offensive way possible.
That having been said, I earnestly to invite you--and I invite others to let you--post the idea(s) right here that you have been hesitant to post for fear of retribution.

Thanked: 2What do you mean by this? Also, I grantee is I sat down face to face with each of you, most would admit there is some merit to my argument. The anonymous strength in numbers would not apply, therefor the outcome would be different. The psychology of it is very interesting.

Thanked: 30Yes, you're right, everyone else is wrong, this place is a pack of money-hungry razor-predators who don't care two bits for tedious beginners.
There, do you feel better now?
