Thanked: 2New dovo + bald frog soap = great shave
Hey guys, yesterday I received my new Dovo razor from Johnmrson it is awesome wanted to let everyone know he's a fine gentlemen to deal with. Also, used shaving soap for the first time last night it lathered great and had good cushion i got it from mastershake so thanks guys it was an awesome shave the little lady was well pleased and i was more so. By the way the soap has a scent i really like it smells very fresh can't really put my finger on it kinda like fresh rain or something. Anyway both aforementioned guys were very nice to me and put up with all my ridiculous questioning so I wanted to let them know they're appreciated by a new guy.

What is the name of the Bald Frog scent you got?
I use the Citrus Blend and I've tried the Tangerine.

It might be Citrus Blend. It's green and fruity.

Thanked: 1Is there something special about Dovo blades? I see people all over the forums post about them, and I'm starting to wonder.. Personally I like the look and feel of the old or vintage blades, however I'm still new at this myself. I really like the character the old blades have. I got a sample of the bald frog wasabi in an order from whipped dog and it seemed like good soap, although I'm not sure I really liked the scent. Either way, I still believe in supporting the small businesses or even just a guy who makes soap as a hobby All these posts are making me develop acquisition disorder as well.

I have a lot of vintage razors all the way back to 1840, each shaves a little different but DOVOs are one of the easiest straights I have ever used. I got my DOVO from Johnmrson also, the razor is almost an extra hollow ground and the round point helps with the ease of use. For some reason, I don't know why, the DOVO is very forgiving on your angle as you shave, at least this is my observation. MS
