I personally like the letter opener idea....perhaps if it was hollowed enough would would work as a shoe horn??? surely it isnt sharp enough to cut your foot!

Well, if there is any lesson to be learned from this by the larger public, and by newbie straight shavers, its that even after you're more of an 'expert' at this, you still have to be careful. As I said, I /know better/ than to even look at anything made in Pakistan. Heck, I knew that from before I ever picked up a straight razor, based on what I knew about swords and bagpipes made in that area of the world. And I still managed to wind up with a $10 mistake on my hands.
Anyway, thank you all for your suggestions. Just thought I'd have a little fun at my own expense.
