ebay list
Just a thought ,there has been quite a few of our members that have fallen foul of some crook sellers of late, their names are duly noted with what happened ,but two or three weeks down the track the seller and what he or she did is forgotten by all and sundry except the victim
I propose an ebay list of sellers to avoid ,so members may check the list before doing business
I would like to know what other members think .
Kind regards PeterLast edited by bg42; 10-29-2006 at 10:57 PM.

Good idea. When I go to bid on anything through eBay I always to a quick search on the forums just to see if anyone else has had dealing with them, and how they went.

Actually a very good idea. I have been to other sites that have a whole section for feedback. Mostly used for transactions between members, but could also be used for ebay.

I think we should keep our list external. So far we've been behaving around each other like gentlemen. Even if there was some dissatisfaction with the deal, the seller would always take proper steps to make it right. As far as I'm concerned, we don't need any policing.

Peter, I was referring to Sec's description of what some other forums do. I like your original idea to keep this limited to auction site transactions. A WIKI concept would work just fine for this application.

I wasn't suggesting "policing". It just gives people a chance to give feedback for individual sales and actual vendors. Newer members have no idea who is legit and it gives one place to search for info before you buy. Rather than leaving feedback scattered all over. It could be used for something as simple as when others give a public thanks for lessons and other stuff. I am sure you are right its not "needed", but might help some?

list
This is why I think we should have a list of ebay sellers to avoid .
I got my second red mark on ebay today the seller strung me along for 3 months with excuses miss placed it can you track it down etc had my doe of course , as soon as it was past the point I could complain to ebay he didn`t reply to any of my emails about a non delivered item so I left negative feedback and guess what I got the same and of course his reason was bullshit
So I have complained to ebay and as usual they cant help.
I guess I`m too trusting ,I just expect to be treated the same as I treat others just some honesty and consideration dosn`t go astray in my book, just a bit old fashioned I suppose
I have enough razors now I have a couple I have bid on and waiting on some in the post and that is it for me with fleaboy
If anyone would like to look at my feed back my ebay name is bg42panda
Its unfortunate that a few bad apples bugger it and quite frankly ebay dosn`t give a toss so long that it gets its doe.
Thisebay name is OVERLANDING ,I can`t stop you but I wouldn`t touch this sod with a ten foot barge pole. I`m about $30 AU down which I can ill afford but it wouldn`t matter if it was 2 cents getting ripped off is getting ripped off and it leaves a very sour taste etc
Any way have a good day all
Kind regards Peter
