Thanked: 0VERY happy with C&E customer service!!
I recently stopped by my local Crabtree & Evelyn to pick up a new brush and some supplies. While there, I wanted to sample some of C&E's creams, as I have been put in charge of buying 8-9 gift sets for the groom's men of an upcoming wedding. The woman in the store was very polite, but informed me that no samples were available. Yesterday I sent over a friendly request through C&E's website inquiring about samples. Not 10 minutes went by and I had received this response:
I am always quick to respond...we want customers to be happy. The store does not have sample pots in at this time to share the product. Our Vice President reviews all customer concerns and he has already addressed with Home Office to insure stores do not run out in the future. I cannot give you a precise date when the store will have sample pots available. I do want to stress they are sample pots ...they are plain white pots...I am not sure what type of presentation you were looking for. If you provide me with your number I will have the store manager call you when they come in, or I can have another store with sample pots send you a pot of each of the mens scents. We have 3 scents. Just let me know what works best for you. If you want them to mail to you provide me with your address.

Their staff could use more training though. Last time I went there to look at some brushes they didn't know what a knot was! They were very friendly though.

My wife just went to C&E store in Roosevelt Field to get me a few samples. They were out of sample pots there too. I wrote to C&E complaining. I was pretty pissed until she told me she bought me some Nomad After Shave Balm.

thats funny, whenever I go to the mall with my wife I know she deliberately stays away from any places that sell shaving products so she doesnt have to spend longer than needed in the mall...figures...I get the one girl who hates to shop lol.
