6th is the shop assistant and I discusing things. His english was very good with us getting stuck on a few words here and there. And the shop owner could speek a little too. I had them explain to me 3 times how to say Thiers Issard but it just wouldnt stick.

Last is a happy man leaving the excellent shop a little poorer and richer at the same time.

'Looks like you had as good a time as I did. To be honest, you didn't miss out on much by not stopping at the other places. I'm sure your pictures will prompt some more people to stop by if they're in Paris as well. Planete Raisor is as much of a straight razor mecca as Jermyn Street/St James's Place in London. Enjoy all that stuff, you should have enough Martin de Candre to last you at least until your next trip.

Hey Buckler, thanks for the pics and the tour of the shop. Looks like you had an awesome time. My wife is dying to go to Paris. Little does she know we will be spending some time on a barber shop/shaving tour. Hey, at least she'll get to go to Paris, right! Enjoy your goodies! You got some sweet stuff!

I am going to Paris in December hopefully I can get to Planet Razor! Were the TI razors cheaper than what one could get ordering one online?

You have to go to the flea market in Clignancourt. It is the world's most famous flea market. Google marche aux puces, and clignancourt. It is easy to get there on the metro. I haven't been since long before my RAD struck but there has got to be all kinds of old razors and shaving gear.

I will be heading to Paris in June. I will surely check out Planète Rasoir, although I hear the prices are astronomical. I suspect there are better deals to be had Clignancourt flea market.

It's funny how it is often cheaper to buy the same product outside it's country of origin. I remember that being the case in London, where british made shaving brushes were much more expensive there than in North America.

If somebody would bring me back a 300 lb. anvil from the flea market dirt cheap I would sure appreciate it. I'll spring for a new carry on bag for you to bring it home in :<0) Oh and put it in the over head a few seats in front of you.

Just got back from Paris. Awesome trip!!

We stopped in at Planet Rasoir and had a great time. Even met one of our SRP members there.

Definitely stop in when you are there.

    Have fun
