Yeah, I was surprised at how it handled. Much easier than I figured. It's different, but not completely and not hard. FUN!

Funny I heard it was going to replace the monolith in a remake of "2001". Or was that Josh's razor?

    Alan,

When I tried pastes on that razor the edge became duller for some reason. I think this one would need to be honed on a Belgian yellow or an Escher without pastes afterwards. I did not have either of the hones at the time so could not test out the theory. I felt that with some practice and adjustment to my honing it would become a great shaver.

The ergonomics are just spectacular. I wanted to buy this razor from Bill but I guess he is not ready to part with it, yet.

I am removing all material that Lerch may find offensive or construe as a personal attack... bye bye, now...

I would love to hone it with the coticule I recently bought and test shave with it afterwards. But I'll be honest with you Bill: I would not buy it because I prefer plain razors.

I'm telling you this thing is HHHAAARRRDDD!!! I'd say it would be best to have a fast cutting waterstone and a lot of patience for the job. You'll likely have to alter the pyramid pretty radically as well.

I've never seen any use for a pyramid. But to each his own. I'd offer to hone it up as well....but I can't give no garantees....I'd say let Lynn have a shot at it.
