A Public Thank You to Ivo
As you gentlemen know, Ivo was planning to send me a Christmas/Birthday gift (they come around the same time). The choices were a Swedish steel frameback (I didn't have any of either) or another Taylor's Eye Witness. The surprise was twofold:
1) The razors arrived TODAY
2) He sent me BOTH
Neither will require much work on the hones and they're really GREAT gifts. Thanks Ivo!
I will take/post the pics l8r and use the opportunity to scan the diagram for Vlad. I still don't know what I did to deserve this gift, but I'm overcome with gratitude.

The Eskiltuna finally got its first shave-test! I had to be stupid and nick the strop again but at least it wasn't as bad as the last time. Also gave it about 40 trips on the 0.5mic chromium oxide bench hone and it took an amazing edge. Even though the blade is extremely delicate and likely to deflect, it got sharp enough to melt even the heaviest stubble away. Once again, thanks Ivo! This was a great gift and much appreciated!
