Thanked: 267A four pass shave in about 15 minutes and that includes stropping, making lather, shaving, and cleanup. When I started out it took 45 minutes. It gets a lot easier after a while.
Take Care,
Richard

I'd say about 15 minutes for a two pass shave and I'm in no hurry. Took me 45 when I first started and it probably wasn't all that close. I shave with cold water and my prep is to lather my face, rub the cold lather in and relather. That is it. If I were shaving with hot water, using the scuttle, more prep, I'd probably be taking 20 to 25 minutes.

Thanked: 1092 pass shave more than 45 minutes. I like to lather up and scrub a bit the wipe it off. Two rounds of that then lather and shave twice. The ATG I am still working on and can add another 15 minutes or more depending on blood flow.

Thanked: 48510 minutes. From taking the already soaking brush and bowl out of the hot water (I soak them as I shower). I was wondering about this the other day so actually timed myself a few days before I read this. I have a goatee, moustache and soul patch so I guess that cuts some time.
I normally do only one pass, but it is generally a close (but not perfect) shave. If I need a PERFECT shave I'll do a WTG and an ATG (no XTG; in fact even the first pass when I only do one pass is part ATG, on the jawline). If I do the two passes it's 15 minutes...
When I started it was about 45 minutes, but I think my very first shave lasted about an hour and left me feeling extremely elated...

I'm hanging at around 45 miutes to an hour from the start of my shower to the finished product. But, I don't rush, and often times I'm enjoying a cold beer while I shave. If I am in a hurry I will break out the DE. I'm lucky enough though to work in a place that doesn't care much if I get a little scruffy waiting for my days off and a straight shave. The wait is totally worth it!

Thanked: 672 passes, plus touching up difficult areas, now takes 35 - 40 mins from start to finish. It would be a bit quicker if I didn't use 2 razors (one for each pass, not one in each hand) and didn't have to strop and clean both.

For me about 35 minutes, that's for a really good shave of my face and head with a straight, with a DE about 20 minutes. But I'm in no hurry, enjoy it to much for that, this is my time and I want to enjoy it to the fullest. Fastest I seen is a guy who used to teach others straight shaving, he did a little friendly competition against a guy, straight against Gilette with many blades in it (don't know the name of that model). Both lathered up and started, straight shaver won by 15 seconds ;-)

It's not a race. Take your time and enjoy it.
When you get some experience it will take less time.
When I started out it took me 45 minutes from start to smooth finish. Now usually less than 10 minutes.

Generally round about 25 minutes in no hurry. My first straight razor shave took one and a half hour.
