Someone very wise once said "A falling blade has no handle."

    I'm inclined to believe him.

I turned to rinse the blade the other day and bumped my elbow on the shower screen, as I was still turning I very nearly hit the razor against the side of my head.

It certainly makes you think. Another reason to minimise distractions during the shave, and always try to be aware of exactly where the dangerous part is at all times!

Knowing your razors, josh, I'm surprised it didn't just go through the floor
LOL, boy would that have been a nasty surprise for my neighbors who live downstairs!!!

That is the kind of razor you should restore, or pay for someone else to do it!!

I joined the JLStorm school of shaving today when I accidentally touched my ear very lightly on the side (don't ask me how) and it immediately started to bleed.

You really have to respect these razors

    Josh,

It broke off at the point where shank and blade are joined. I had it welded which resulted in a warped blade unsuitable for shaving. I have used it for a while for DIY jobs.

hehe I'd have to get one of those first (and it wasn't on the lobe but a bit higher, about mid-ear, so I'd prefer nothing to fit through it )
