Most expensive single razor around?
Just looking for the most expensive razor for sale, without it being a week box set or anything, I was looking for the Reservoir Dogs razor that they cut the ear off the Cop but no luck, anyone??

If you mean a standard production from a company probably one of the 7/8 or 8/8 TI damascus razors I think they go for about $1200 each. There are many custom razors available from various knife makers that I'm sure cost way more than that depending on what you want on it.
I'm sure Bill Ellis will be glad to custom do a razor studded with diamonds, rubies and emeralds on solid platinum scales. How about it Bill?No matter how many men you kill you can't kill your successor-Emperor Nero

I agree. Though I think some people have said some really nasty things about the fragility of the edge of the TI damascus, which makes one wonder if they're worth the price. Not that my whole razor /collection/ was that much, or two-thirds that much.
For custom made, the only limit is your imagination.

This thread has already made me draw the conclusion that buying shaving gear is a money pit. Not because you are having problems with the gear, but because there is so much gear to try!

And if you wanted one about 6 times the cost of a maestro, get Rick Eaton to make one.

Bill, as someone who has made both custom knives and razors, maybe you know the answer to this question - does experience in making knives translate into an ability to make custom straight razors?
Though I think that knife handle could make a set of truly awesome looking scales.
