    Default Misery loves company...

So, since the wife is out at a work function, I figured I would take advantage of the general quiet around the house and do a bit of work on some razors....

First, I start honing a W&B, and realize, under magnification, that their is a crack in the middle of the blade.

Then, one my my dogs (the boxer) barrels into my legs while I'm wiping off a Reynolds before moving up a grit, and I knock it into the edge of my granite countertop, snapping a 1" chuck out of the middle of the blade.

I called it quits for the day.

Sorry about that but it looks like your boxer may have done you a favor. Anyway calling it quits for the day is always a good idea. : )

    Good idea.

Kinda the icing on the cake for today. I guess the bright side, is that at least I didn't spend a bunch of acquiring them.

Just a word from experience........don't shave with bathroom door unlocked. The counter can take a razor hit much better than your face.

I just got a Henry Sears, while looking at it dropped it on the hardwood floor, broke one of the scales and shattered the blade into several pieces. Thank goodness it was a cheap razor.
