Thanked: 1185Handlebar Update
Started the stash on 01 May 12. Here it is 3 months in. Not an epic handlebar just yet but it's filling out and seems fairly trained. What til November!
Anyone else game for the handlebar?

I've tried so many times, but I have an odd growth in the middle below the septum where the hair only grows 1 mm or so. its frustrating. One time I went to completion, but no one believed that it was real, my facial hair is a bright ginger, while my head grows in a dirty blonde. (there's a joke here somewhere)
Yours is quite choice though.

Thanked: 146I had a mustache for 20 years, one time a Snydley Whiplash with the big curl...just to aggravate SWMBO...giggle...shaved it off for a joke, and she would absolutely not let me grow it back...

1OldGI,
Looks great man! It suits you to a T, very Iron Sheik if you don't mind my saying.
I'd love to have a handlebar, but my mustache is much less capable. I have a bare centre line where it grows left and right and on top of that I have the "weakest link" (my mustache tips don't exactly connect with my goatee bottom of the rest of my beard... there's a faint link but it's pretty Johnny Depp in stature.

Thanked: 1185Played that game last Spring. Like most times I've cut off my stash, I wanted it back the instant it was gone (at the time my handlebar was epic). I went clean shaved for a few months just to appease SWMBO. I now tell myself that once the handlebar is back to epic I'll never shave it off again. Probably not all together true but it's my story and I'm stickin to it for the time being
The fetching Mrs. GI is by no means a big fan of moustaches. However, over the 30 years we've been married I doubt I've been without a moustache for more than a year and a half total so I guess she's just learned to tolerate it. In the military, I generally shaved it off for various schools or when I would screw it up trimming it. These days, I don't go anywhere that has any regulation on face hair so I just don't trim it. Every couple years I'll chop it off for a month or so but it never seems to take me long to decide to grow it back.
