Kudos to Pink Lather!!!!!

Just wanted to share a little about this last sunday. I finally met another person who is as excited about razors and shaving as I am.......Pink Lather. I can not give enough thanks for all of the knowledge that he shared with me. I have been self taught and had not even seen or heard of another person using a straight edge. What a delightful experience it was to talk and share all things razor. If others on SRP are half as kind and willing to share knowledge as Pink Lather we are all very lucky. I spent about 5 hrs talking and learning and I even ended up with 3 shaving razors....yea!!!!! I could go on for a while but I will stop the praise now. I can't wait to meet up and do it again. Thanks Pink Lather.....YOU ROCK!!!!!! pun intended....hehe.

Meeting fellow SRP members is always lots of fun. We have a great group of guys in Toronto, and although I speak for myself here, I'm sure the other's would agree. We like razors, and that was our first thing in common, but we've come to know each other over the past couple of years through meets, and I think we actually like each other's company too!

It's nice to hear that other's in the community have the same sense......and I hear that this PinkLather fella is pretty cool too!

I have not met Pink, but have often noted his postings here on the forum. Always helpful and knowledgeable. I have had the pleasure of meetting a few of the guys upstate, Like Holli, JoeD, Stimpy et al, and they are a great group of guys. I guess we look after our own, kind of like the straight razor equivalent of the Jetts and the Sharks! (The Rads and the Hads?)

I am going to do my best to be at the Spokane meet in Oct. I am going to put in for time off for work to ensure it happens. Very much looking forward to meeting some more of the NW ;guys. If they are have as nice and kool as Pinklather it will be delightful! Can't wait!!!!!

'Figures I'd be the last to see this. You're most kind, Dean. It was a complete pleasure to me - just to see anyone light up w/ joy over a shave.

For reference, Dean & I got together again, and focused on stropping and shaving. He tried 8 blades and got a good feel for his preferences, and new grip while stropping & shaving. I think there's a Friodur in his future
