    Default every time

At this point a straight is used every shave, but its only been a few weeks. I cant see any reason to go back to a D.E. except for occasional traveling. The time allotment for my morning shave has proven to be a non issue as a complete straight shave including lather brush up is about 15 minutes in a pinch. A half hour is nice when time permits.

I would use my straight exclusively, but there are some small spots I just can not seem to get completely with my straight razor. I hate little islands of stubble in the sea of baby butt smoothness. This forces me to use the DE to get them. I am hoping with more practice, and having more than one shave ready straight razor in my arsenal this will change over time.

Just about all of my shaves are with a straight these days, especially now that I can get a BBS shave. Occasionally I'll use a DE when I'm in a rush as it still takes a while for me to shave with a straight.

If I'm in a rush I use my DE.

Wish I could have checked the first option, but since I shave before going to bed, it depends on how tired I am whether or not I use a SR or a DE. On weekends I exclusively use a SR. Haven't used an electric since it broke when I was in college and gave up on disposables since using SRs and DEs 2 years ago.

I do want to add that while I may use a DE considerably more than most here ...I do have my pride...no electric razors in my stable!

For me I am still learning to shave with a straight (about 6 weeks in) and currently shave with the straight about 3 times a week.

Partly due to time constraints and partly to let the learning process "sink in" properly.

I hope to shave with a straight every day in the next couple of months or so, but that depends on how quickly I get things right

No rush though, it is all good and every shave gets better and better.

Some evenings when I shave with the straight (practice runs), I don't want to leave the bathroom, especially since I have tried the soaps from TAGSMC, boy, nice stuff.

Does anyone here sell padlocks for wallets ?

I said for most shaves, because I'm about 80%. I still have DEs in my rotation and every once in a while I throw in an injector, a GEM or an antique, like a Rolls Razor or Wilkinson. THe last two actually use a small section of a straight on a safety handle, but they need to be honed and stropped. I'll even use a Fusion when I'm in a pinch and need a good shave in 5 minutes.
