I just found this thing on ebay and found it hilarious. Has anyone ever seen before? What's next, a watch razor? How about a razor ring?

I nearly posted this last week but feared it may be a bad idea.

I saw an auction for ONE of these with a BIN of 450 US Dollars!!!!

I then researched them and found they typically sell for very little.

I suppose it would make sense as an emergency backup for a travler??? But generally you can always find an equally bad disposable at most destinations for less money.

It is a head scratcher for me...but someone obviously thought it was a marketable idea.

I think it's kind of cool! I mean it's not all that practical for me, but I have a buddy who has to literally shave two times a day if he's got evening engagements. Considering his job has him all over the city... I could see it coming in handy for him now and again. 5 o'clock shadows on a guy in an expensive suit when you are over 40 just doesn't look all that cool lol.

I think I might buy one for him as a stocking stuffer though... I don't know about using public bathroom soaps as shaving cream is all that desirable lol!! Hmmmm.

See that is just it. If you are that important that you need to shave 2x a day...do you not also have access to a car or briefcase where you could stash some quality gear and HOPEFULLY a decent mirror LOL.

LOL - sure! That's why even though I have tried to sell him on traditional methods... he's got an electric in his car, in his office, and his house.

I figure it'll be good for those times I pull him away from work early (via my car), and then drop him off at a function later that night as I have been known to do lol.

I still don't know about the cream issue though lol.

*EDIT* oh and I don't know if being busy makes you important lol... though I am sure he would like to think so .

I figured he is either important, or thinks he is, if he is wearing an expensive suit. Either way it seems logical that he would value a good shave with proper gear vs. showing up with bits of TP stuck all over his face

The guy in that advert photo appears to be dry shaving with that thing? I hope the handle is made of styptic or similar LOL

Not really my usual type of shaving doohickey but I can see a use for it. I tend to go on camping, fishing and ski trips where space is a premium and I don't want to lose or bang up a straight or DE.
As I don't usually keep a disposables around I'd consider one of these to have handy in my car kit.

Right!?! It always amazes me how many guys I try to sell on the virtues of a traditional shave only to see them politely smile and walk away thinking I am bonkers! For yet another reason . It's almost as though I am asking them to forgo the internet or something lol.

I can understand that...but I use my camping trips to scruff it up and then REALLY enjoy a proper shave when I get back home
