I will lead this off with saying this shows that I lead a boring life!

I am in the middle of my vacation and by this morning I hadn't shaved in 5 days. I have done this many times and have noticed the hair in my lather when normally I don't. This morning I decided to measure it. I saved some samples and out came the calipers. .080 inches. That would equal .016 inches per day. That isn't much and I always thought I was on the light side of hair growth rate. I read that hair on average grows about .5 inches a month. Using my samples mine grows about .48 inches a month. Hey I am close to average! The .016 inches a day is the interesting thing out of all of this. That isn't much to resist the blade in a daily shaving routine. With your flexible skin at the root etc. No wonder our blades have to be so sharp.

I just thought I would toss this out there for any thoughts.
