This is one of the Christmas movies on the Hallmark Channel this year. Didn't see the whole thing, but at the end the groom was dressed in a tux and his face looked like mine does with 5-7 days beard growth. I see people looking like this all the time. They aren't going to grow a beard. They are just going to shave on an occasional basis. Get to know them, and just about every time they'll tell you their face can't take a daily shave.

I am convinced that today's multiblade and electric razors brought on this fad of infrequent shaving. My face was so beaten up for 40 years before I discovered DE, SE, and now primarily straight razor shaving. I would shave for work but otherwise skip every day I possibly could to it could heal. Instead of aftershave I sometimes used the same Avon Moisture Cream my mother used on her hands.

Unfortunately I am divorced, but when I was married my wife would complain every time I would kiss her unshaven. Until about 20 years ago, you didn't show up for work without a shave. My how times have changed.
