Default An Ode to the Aussies!!

So my life had found its usual busy routine again (groan)... but there was a while there where my nocturnal side was able to flourish! And because of those long nights, many a time it was the Aussies that kept me company here on the forum.

So to thank them - I thought I would teach the rest of us how to talk Aus!

And I bet, for just a little bit, you had a feeling you weren't in Kansas anymore, but in the land of OZ!

Stranger, if you passing meet me and desire to speak to me, why should you not speak to me? And why should I not speak to you?

I don't know about this. Any place originally inhabited by criminals forced to migrate there and then the toilet water going down in the wrong direction, well, I must take pause with these down under chaps.

Well if it's any consolation, where the criminals came from originally the toilet water goes down the same way as what your used to...Though anyone who drinks toilet water is a little on the dodgy side in my opinion.

As for the original inhabitants being criminals, I reckon just about every one of the Aboriginals that were here for the last 40,000+ years might have something to say about that. I would say they would think the bunch of invading 'Migaloo's' (Whitey's) that came and destroyed their way of life, sacred sites and brought disease's, destroyed their homes, treated them as less than animals, hunjted them off their traditional hunting grounds etc. might all be a bunch of criminals in the highest degree!

Your completely right, Mick. Name a country that hasn't been 'colonised' (invaded) by Europeans. It gets quite difficult to come up with a list...
