Thread: My granfather's old safety razors

I can remember my grandfather (who passed away 30 years ago) lathering up and shaving with a straight razor. I was very young and thought it being very cool. My grandmother recently passed and unfortunately we discovered that she had thrown out all my granfather's straight razors. I did find a couple of safety razors that dont look like he ever used them. One is a Gillette and the other a Telerazor. I don't know anything about these razors but have attached a photo.

Nice finds at least you have two pretty DE's with a family connection, to bad about the straights getting tossed.

Thanks. Wish I'd been into straight razors back then to have asked for them. I would REALLY like to have them now.

those DE's are in amazing shape...I woud be one happy camper to have those as a family set!

Thrown out?!! Tis' a shame.

My grandmother did that very same thing. A sad thing. I feel your loss.
