If I had but one straight razor, it would be the Le Grelot in horn (I know, I know I have Puma, Friodur, Schulze and other fancy names, but none tucks as perfectly in my hands as the Le Grelot, and none shaves me better). So . . .

But one soap, it would be the celestial Martin de Candre . . .
But one cream, it would be the intoxicating Xpec original . . .
But one pre-shave, it would be Castle Forbes . . .
But one scuttle, it would be Moss (I face lather) . . .
But one Alum, it would be Osma . . .
But one witch hazel, it would Thayers Super Medicated with Aloe Vera . . .
But one aftershave balm, it would be Castle Forbes . . .
But one aftershave lotion, it would Spanish Leather by Truefitt & Hill . . .
And on a cold and snowy day, a bowl of beef stew, a chunk of crusty French bread and a bottle of Rhone wine . . .

The question is: If you had one of each noted items in the traditional shaving world, what would it be? Obviously the question refers to what your preferred item would be. For instance, if I had a choice of all the shave soaps in the world, my choice would be Martin de Candre. So then, if I had but one shave soap, it would be Martin de candre. And son on . . .

I understood the question - I was trying to make a clever comment on how hard picking just one of anything would be for many of us here!

I'm a very exclusive guy, and am working towards a one only item for each category. I just hate to have to make a choice. I'll get there soon! Still need to try Martin de Candre again, (now that my skills have improved), Mitchell's Wool Fat and a few others before I make up my mind. If none blows my mind, I'll stay with my Proraso!

One razor? My Filly DT 13 in black scales
One soap? Without a doubt Martin de Candre
One balm? Castle Forbes, probably
One brush? Only have one, my Kent T4
One cream? Castle Forbes
One DE? Ermm.... I'm a straight only person!!
