At this point just waking up in the morning is one enough . Sometimes too much.

This one is simple for me. For over a year I have shaved with a single razor, using a single brush and using one of two soaps. None of which are the "best" of each thing I own or indeed the most expensive.
If I had but one Razor, it would be my Dovo Master's (stainless, easy to look after. Over a period of a year, three passes five or six days a week, I have only needed to hone four times and then only went down to 8000 twice)
If I had but one soap: it would be, Palmolive stick, I love it.
If I had but one brush: SOC Boar, I can't find a fault with it.
If I had but one strop, SRD, 3" Premium Leather, Oh wait a moment, I do only have one of those and I only use the leather component.
If I had but one aftershave, why Old Spice of course.
I will receive my SRD razor on Friday, it was delivered to London a couple of months ago and is being brought out to me by a visitor, I suppose I should give it a try.

Thanked: 4249Unlike many of you, im somewhat a minimalist when it comes to shaving products.
That said here is my submission to the thread.
If I had but one straight razor, it would be Puma 39 5/8 "Pour barbe tres dure"
But one strop, it would be the Classic vintage timber mellow tanned russian process hand finished butt horse hide.
But one hone, it would be the humble Norton 4/8 . . .
But one DE razor, Dont use any.
But one DE blade, Dont use any.
But one shave brush, homemade ebony and ivory silvertip badger.
But one soap, it would be the celestial Martin de Candre . . .
But one cream, Dont use any.
But one pre-shave,Dont use any pre-shave.
But one scuttle, no scuttle here!
But one Alum, it would be Osma . . .
But one witch hazel, it would Thayers Super Medicated with Aloe Vera . . .
But one aftershave balm, dont use any!
But one aftershave lotion, none of that either!

Thanked: 26If we're talking desert island supplies, the only thing I'm really stuck on is my Simmons Hardware #421 Barber's Pet. Though it's got no bling, it's the easiest to sharpen of what I have, and it stays that way forever, with no fuss. Otherwise, nothing particularly stands out as essential.
