Sugarless coolwhip for lather....might have to try that for the next shave. It just might shave a few minutes in the morning routine. Report back soon.

Sugarless coolwhip? Doesn't that kinda defeat the entire purpose of coolwhip?

Reminds me of a time when a friend went to Starbucks and ordered something like a decaf nonfat dairy-free something or other. The guy taking the order shouted over his shoulder to the barista "I need a grande 'why bother'..."
    Lemur and robellison01 like this.

It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

The razors are for a local production of Sweeny Todd at the local college. I dulled (yes they needed dulling ) the blades and rounded and buffed the corners.

I made a prototype blood squirting handle on the razor on the far left. There is a small bladder between the handles, when you squeeze the scales together blood squirts tubes on the back side of the blade. I made the prototype the students will make the rest.

I hope when the play is over I can get a razor back and make a fun shaving video.

One thing I learned that was really interesting was that they will be using sugarless coolwhip for shaving cream on stage, who would have thought it.

Not that long ago, I worked a production of "Julius Caesar" by the RSC. One thing that I've learned to be an eternal truth is that whenever someone cries "Tyranny is dead!", somebody else is going to have to clean up the blood. And it's usually a stagehand.

It would be interesting to find out what they intend to use in the blood bag. I hope it something quite soluble as it can make quite a mess.

I am not sure what they are using for blood. I do know they have several mixes for different viscosities. I did not ask the details.

I was told they are using the sugar free because is is less sticky and easier to clean up.

Excellent. Good work. The essence of theatre is illusion. You have a future a special effects artist.

If I could make a small suggestion and this is by no means a criticism. Try taking a second pipette that could have a longer barrel that extends to the tip of the blade and mount that in the handle. Fill it completely full of blood and cap the end of the pipe with saran wrap, wax, something like that. Something that would take some pressure to open and when it opens, the blood comes out in a spurt. The idea is to create two effects, one of a spurt of blood, which would empty quickly and the other where it oozes out the gash.

    Have fun.
