I have 3 sets of 7 days,
In rotation: 65
In restoration queue: 150
To buy: infinitive number :-)
I just got done counting 128 straights. And yes they all go into the rotation.

"About" 14 straights, 4 in active use, the other 10 I need to give away or something.
The problem here is that unlike a lot of things I've been interested in, you can buy straights all day for $10 or so, good ones, and I find that sort of hard to resist. Then I got into better ones and developed a strategy for Ebay for finding bargains on the better ones, and a weakness for dubl ducks, and that's more $$, but still hard to resist, to get a classic for $$. I tried the other day to put a dead stop on it by buying a new Boker for $$$. Will that put an end to $10 buys? I hope so, but I know where there's an exceptionally well priced. . . . and the guy on Ebay unloading mint . . .

not enough since i know off the top of my head , but i look at them everyday at least once so that helps ...lol
id like to down size to about 20 straights but that isnt working out as i keep buying more
as the DE's go i wanted to try a few but they seem to be going in the same direction the straights did . UP UP UP !!

I have 2 DEs and a Dovo shavette, three (maybe soon to be four) straights and a kamisori in the mail!
I definitely have the bug, though...I just need to work out how to find those deals on razors that you lot manage to get so cheaply!
I have 21 straights. 3 In rotation that I change out every 2 months from the display case. A DE89 that I hardly use anymore and a Parker shavette that collects dust. Best shaver at the moment is a smiling 7/8 Joseph Rodgers in a near wedge grind with a French point.

I have two DEs that I never use.
I have between 35 and 55 straights, almost all shave ready, about half of them for sale.
I know exactly how many I have. Less than a dozen. The ones that actually shave: half a dozen I think. I am probably the odd one out here amond senior members, because I colelct neither razros nor hones. My main interest is in making blades, not collecting them.
There are basically 2 razors I shave with.

Ebay. You have to learn to read photos (believe me, it's a skill that I gather most people don't have), and then you can find all sorts of wonderful stuff that other bidders can't figure out and won't bid on. I haven't bought bad there yet. In the US $9.99 is a common starting price, and lots of nice razors go down without bids just because the pictures suck. Razors are a special problem because they reflect in a way that makes you think that scary things are going on that aren't. I've bought perfect razors that looked like they were all rust from one end to the other just because of what they were reflecting.Quote:

Had over 250 and have reduced it to somewhere between 50-75. A couple coffee cups full, my "rotation" of 21, and a small box full that needs to see the stones. My intention is to have mostly customs & just a handful of commercially made razors.

Those handles on coffee mugs come in handy when transporting a mug full of razors up & down the steps.
I will say that I have near two hundred. This is a very time consuming hobby.

not really sure but around 10 DE and about 100ish SR in rotation with about 30 in the restore pile.
I'm not gonna say, in case the wife reads my post, but trying to limit myself to one purchase a week.

about some more of 10 DE (Muehle, Merkur,EJ, Mulcuto) and 6 SR... DE is enough but for the SR - there is still a desire....

Around 14 straight razors, mostly pumas, all shave ready and in rotation.
One lonely DE, merkur futur, which I haven't used in a very long time.
Just for fun, Just to see who is the most affected by the RAD disease. I have only 3, a Filly, a Grelot and a PUMA. Only because I dont have sufficient funds to add 15 or 20 more razors
I'm around 3 months in and have 18 so far but looking to sell 3 to get down to 15! RAD has hold of me.
I have a bit over a dozen, but quickly realized that other than sentimental value, I could be happy with a lot less.
