Thread: How many razors do you have?

I mean exactly not around this number or that.

This really is aimed at guys with a good number of razors.

This can be straights or DEs

As to me? Well, err...I can't say an exact number.

I have 3 sets of 7 days,
In rotation: 65
In restoration queue: 150
To buy: infinitive number :-)

I just got done counting 128 straights. And yes they all go into the rotation.

6 if you count the shavett style, keep in mind I just went to real steel a few weeks ago....

"About" 14 straights, 4 in active use, the other 10 I need to give away or something.

The problem here is that unlike a lot of things I've been interested in, you can buy straights all day for $10 or so, good ones, and I find that sort of hard to resist. Then I got into better ones and developed a strategy for Ebay for finding bargains on the better ones, and a weakness for dubl ducks, and that's more $$, but still hard to resist, to get a classic for $$. I tried the other day to put a dead stop on it by buying a new Boker for $$$. Will that put an end to $10 buys? I hope so, but I know where there's an exceptionally well priced. . . . and the guy on Ebay unloading mint . . .

Off the top of my head (I'm at work) I have 22 Straights in rotation ATM, 3 Fixed blades and 4 DE's and about 15 on the resto pile

38 straight razors;
4 of these are blades in resto pile,
2 are in rotation (sitting on counter ready to use, switched out whenever I find a new love).

10 DE razors, all are vintage Gillettes.
