Bought 1 NEW one and have been going to antique stores and acquired 9 more there. I have a total of 10.
Along with this I have bought a Norton4000/8000 Hone, A buffing machine, Buffing Wheels, Greaseless compound, Wood for making scales, Neatsfoot oil... It goes on and on....
I am into it about $300 so far.
    I HAVE to slow down!

Can one have too many razors? That sounds like being too rich or too thin.

close to 50 at last count. Sometimes I think about getting down to a single seven day set, or maybe just TWO seven day sets but which ones would I part with? I like them all and some I just love.

I have a 5/8 set , a 6/8 set , a russian only set, a wedge only set and an assortment of all kinds of others. But NO MORE ) and I haven't bought a blade or a stone in many months and that's great. I barely get time to use them all very often as it is.

130, not counting blades without scales.

    One million razors!! Mwahahahahahahaaaaa!

Seriously though, I have lost count. Less than a thousand, more than a few hundred. Most sit in a storage box - my current rotation (for the past year) has consisted of two seven day sets, two French razors, and a scaleless Boxer razor.

I JUST started this little hobby (haven't even had my first shave yet!) and I'm already at 3... Just got my old Wade and Butcher in, I have a "sight unseen" coming from Larry at Whipped Dog, and then my brother is giving me his razor here in a couple weeks. I'm already addicted just by looking at these things!!!

That is how I did it. I bought 3 before I knew how to shave, then one from Larry, then more every time I saw one.

For me I accumulated quite a few (by my standards) quickly and then switched to specific qualities. I'm not sure if I'll buy another for quite a while.

This whole concept of satisfaction is fun

I'm a few months in - bought my first few new, but I think going forward I'm all about vintage blades. I find I get more enjoyment out of browsing for vintage straights, finding out the history and shaving with something that is a lot older than I am. I have 8 straights - but looking forward to many more!
