Thread: International Wet Shaving Month (April)

I hereby declare the month of April as "International Wet Shaving Month"!

The abundance of straight razor passion I observe on this site is remarkable. As humans, we always enjoy the ability to justify our actions.

Dedicating an entire month to the passion we all share has a number of important benefits:
- It allows enthusiasts to purchase that sweet shaver(s) they've been eyeing in the classifieds, but realistically can't afford...without feeling guilty
- Justify aforementioned purchases to their wife
- Incentivize vendors to celebrate this glorious month by offering special promotions (ie: discounts)
- Promotes SRP members to get together and share their passions and perhaps some of the finer things in life

I always find a reason to visit this site, buy a vintage/new straight, accessorize and all of the other great things that go into this wonderful hobby...but why dedicate an entire month to overindulge! Please join me in arbitrarily declaring April as International Wet Shaving Month!

I consider myself to be a true hobbyist, in the sense that I have many hobbies and leisure pursuits, and rotate through them in a sort of ebb and flow. But I must say that this is the first one I've had that is not only necessary because I shave every day for my profession, but it seems to be practically insatiable and I just can't seem to leave well enough alone. April is wet shaving month!
