Any Ideas on How to Pay ?
OK, I have just won a bid on ebay, and they wont accept paypal. They do accept international money orders but also add a further charge for processing. Is there any other way of paying? As it is a new razor I will probably send to Lynn first for sharpening.
Thanks
John

Thanked: 4942Hi John,
Send an email to the seller and ask him if another way to pay. Alot do paypal, but some are sticky for a MO. I have even had them request US Cash. Manfred did this at first.
Let me know on the honing.

Ha! Its the Boker Red Injun, right John? I had my eye on that one too, but have already purchased way too much gear over the past couple of weeks, otherwise you would have had to pay more for it. Nice purchase.
Back on topic, I think they accept bank checks, but they'll probably wait for it to clear before sending the razor.Last edited by 19george; 01-12-2007 at 04:36 AM.

Cashiers check.
Can you buy and send a cashiers check? It sounds as though you may be international. Just a thought.Check with a bank and ask what they suggest.

Yes you are correct, it was the Boker Red Injun
I don't know why but it was sold last week for $42, and within a day re listed again. That auction finished at 3.00am last week, so I was not going to get into just leaving a bid, and hoping for the best. I always like to see whats going on, cause I dislike bidding wars just for the sake of getting it. So I was disappointed when I saw what it went for, and wished I had made the effort. Low and behold to my amazement it's re listed. Hope it's all on the level.
I contacted Western Union they want $22 for transferring the money, and he wants a further $5 for processing. So I still may have to look at other alternatives.
An international bank cheque gets messy, as it will have to clear first.......
It's not such a good buy after all when you add up all the extras. Why do people not want to accept paypal? I have my own issues with paypal and if I could use something different I would, but I guess we have to pay for the convenience. I just lose out on every paypal transaction with their crappy exchange rates

some buyers don't want paypal simply because of the loss of funds. on international sales I lose at least 3% Plus 30 cents of the money transferred. Paypal was bought out by ebay so Ebay is dipping into the pot in more ways than one. They charge listing fees, plus final sales fees plus fees for each picture you list, plus fees to show a thumbnail of your product. By the time it's said and done you have to get a nice price to even hope to make any money .

Hey John,
Im the guy that paid $42.00 for the Boker Red Injun. But I can assure you that you aint bidding on the same one. I have it here in my hot little hands. It came in brand new condition and out shaves my other two razor by a country mile.
