Thanked: 1Shaving video by Greg Ives
Has anyone seen "The Lost Art of Straight Razor Shaving" by master barber Greg Ives?
Is it any good? I love Lynn's video but I always like to read/watch as much as I can on any topic I get interested in.

Thanked: 3Actually, looks like the same guy to me. The video is good, but I suspect learning to shave somebody else may be different than shaving oneself. For instance, at times, he shaves with very steep angles and with a slicing motion. I know (at least with a Feather) this can lead to trouble. Maybe somebody with more experience can chime in.

Thanked: 1I'm not sure it's the same guy. I originally thought the same thing but I think the pony tail is throwing me off. I agree that shaving oneself and shaving another isn't always the same thing.

Thanked: 2209I purchased that video and frankly, Lynns vid is much more useful. The Greg Ives video is a good overview but lacking in depth on any subject.

Thanked: 1Thanks Randy for your input. I have Lynn's video and keep returning to it for refreshers. Seems like I find something new in it every time I watch it.

I've got the Ives video, and it is a good overview. Not overly specific, except possible the section on using a barber's hone. Lynn's is the one to buy for knowledge.
