If I may, I would like to advise against the use of either of these "rouges". These are for bench grinders not fine edged instruments such as a straight razor. The white rouge is described as being used to bring a luster to stainless steel. It doesn't say mirror polish and even if it did I would still be skeptical.

I would contact Sears and ask them what the grit rating is for the particulate in each rouge. If the red stuff is Iron Oxide, forget it as it won't cut anything. If either of them has a micron rating in excess of 9 microns don't bother with them you can do better with the diamond compounds or the TI white paste. Heck, you could even do better with the DOVO black and red rouges.

Something tells me these Craftsman bench grinder rouges are no where near what you're looking for. I could be wrong though. I'd be sure interested to find out.

    Regards,
    EL

El has made some good points. Find out the micron size first.
The other thing is to experiment with an old razor or two first, not your best razors.
