I just read the Webster's definition,,,,
Question?? If I only feel this way about the wife, but I love all other women, does this make me a "misogynistic" ?

It's always a bummer to find that a salesperson is uninformed about products. (You're referring to AOR & not AOS/Art of Shaving?)

Thanked: 485I think people GENERALLY are as annoying as hell, or even MORE annoying then hell, regardless of where they work...
Stranger, if you passing meet me and desire to speak to me, why should you not speak to me? And why should I not speak to you?

Thanked: 0Right, but how was what I said misogynistic? Maybe you're unaware as to what misogyny is?

*olive branches for everyone*
davidthegreat, the word choice & phrasing of your initial posts were ambigious, leading many to believe that you felt women ("freakin chicks") could not be knowledgable about straights. You clarified your feelings later on & it's clear that you initially wrote in frustration and did not intend to offend. (Obviously, *you* know what you meant, so it's hard to see what others found misogynistic. But they didn't know you yet & only had that first post to go on.)
I think if you were to come back to this thread after awhile, you'll see how the misunderstanding occurred. Just as we can see from your later posts that you *do not* feel that women necessarily lack knowledge & skills with straights.
With regards to your disappointing shopping experience, I totally sympathize. It's hard enough to find quality wet shaving products locally, so it's even more crummy when the salesperson is either woefully uninformed or just making stuff up.

She used to shave when she was a man.
One time, in band camp, I shaved with a Gold Dollar razor.

Being a woman has nothing to do with how informed she is about the product. If you phrased your original post the way you should have, you would have expressed your frustration with an uninformed sales rep. The phrasing of your initial post suggests issues unrelated to wet shaving. I work in the service industry and I've found both competence and incompetence evenly distributed between men, women and anything in-between.

Thanked: 480I am now picturing the conversation that would take place between myself, and the sales "chick" when I explain I need a razor for shaving "That....down there" I'm not sure how I would react if she spoke like she had a lot of experience in that department!
