Thanked: 0More Straights in the Press
Since I slashed my finger today, and was at my desk in the office at the time, I've had people pointing out that a story on straights ran in a local daily here just this past weekend. Thought some of you might enjoy reading it:

Pretty cool read, thanks for the link.
I didn't realize that B&B had that much of a straight focus.

Starts off as a bit of a horror story, but at least they end with a link to this site. Thanks for the article.

Thanked: 0Thanks for posting the link. I'm a bit suprised and encouraged at the increased popularity of str8 shaving.

I wonder what led them to the B&B site. I always thought B&B was more of a general site with great arguments over brushes and creams than Straight specific issues.

I like how SMF wasn't mentioned
Honestly, I just went over there for the first time and hadn't seen 3 threads before there was a huge flame off on whether or not a Feather was a straight razor. There seems to be so much more of a relaxed atmosphere here and at B&B... if I were a mod, ooooooh... the warnings they'd get o_O
Thanks for the read - it was nicely written and such. And thanks to everyone for a place to come and further my new addiction

Thanked: 55You are correct, B&B is more of a poultice and DE discussion site than a straight razor site IMHO. It's not like here where the discussion is solely focused on straights and other things are peripheral.
That said it is a fine site and has a wealth of information for people especially those starting out. SMF also is a great place to check out. For straights though I think this is the best place to come. The other sites are great for the focus on different products and for someone with sensitive skin like myself they can be a great guide as to what you may want to try but they won't have the wealth of knowledge about straight that people will find here.
Regards,
EL
