Thanked: 1Bought a new razor...how'd I do?
I know you guys probably get sick and tired of fielding these threads but I've got to ask anyhow.
I'm in the process (a slow and slightly expensive process I might add) of picking up a cache of razors for an upcoming project. As some of you are aware I've decided to give several of the honemeisters (and anyone else who fancies themselves one) a razor to hone with the end result being both a chance for me to experience many of the pros talents as well as the ACTUAL project of trying to put together an article detailing to the best of my ability the performance, turnaround, and service of each of the participants.
I've been wanting to pick up some more razors for my collection as it is, and this actually was justification enough for me to get my wife to OK the purchase of some new blades! I'm sure there might be something in this plan that people will object to that I haven't thought of, but I'm going to try and go ahead with it just the same. Anyhow this is the first of my acquisitions, most likely destined for JoshEarl's place as the second guy on my list of destinations for the article.

I'll be starting a new thread momentarily for anyone who might be interested in getting on "The List" and to get some feedback on the idea in general.

Very nice scales. The price was a little on the high side, in my estimation, but not bad. There is some significant hone wear--see those flat spots on the spine? Still, it should make a good shaver.
I think I can take it, if you decide to send it my way.

So you're the guy who snagged that nice Genco.
It looks like there might be a little frown on that one so some circle time on a 1000 might be in order.
I bet she hones up sweetly though. Can't wait to hear about your discoveries.

Thanked: 1I lost out on an even NICER Genco about 5 hours later, sorry if you were bidding on this one as I always trying to check the eBay SRP list before bidding on a blade there and the names weren't on the list.
