    Default Best/favorite old barber books?

From time to time I see references to old barbering books. I would like to know which old books anyone finds to be their favorites/best and what makes them so. While shaving with a str8 is by nature vintage, there are more vintage ways to go about some aspects than others (e.g. old barber hones, strop conditioning with lather, etc.) I would love to find some of these old primary sources. The few exerpts I have read have some great fine points that really help me. And it seems these old texts have time-tested authority behind them.

    Thanks!

Check the library, there should be PDF scans of a couple in there.

Thanks. Been there, read that. That's part of what I referred to as the excerpts that I find interesting and valuable.

Check out this link I found for you:

There are a few Standardized Textbooks of Barbering published by the Associated Master Barbers of America. These tend to be the best old authorities.

Another would be the Moler barbering texts.

    Good Luck,

    Scott

Thanks Scott, for this and your other post. I'll check into these.
