Thanked: 15different shaves for different seasons ???
Ok so I started true wet shaving when the weather got cold here (which in Sept here in WI but still) and now its getting warmer and I seem not to be getting that wonderful BBS shave that I have been enjoying, I have gotten my strraights honed and have not changed the type of DE blades I use. Does the climet effect your shave, should I look into getting a more wedgy straight and changing my DE blades?

Thanked: 177I don't know, but I cold water shave and that gets me zero irritation and a closer shave IMO. If your face is warm, your skin will be more swollen, if its cold the skin will contract and the stubble is easier to get to. YMMV.

I'd never thought of that. Perhaps the change in humidity--dry to moist--might affect your shave. However, people who live in humid climates don't seem to have any problem with their shaves.
My best guess is that you should recheck your shaving fundamentals, ie. blade angle, skin stretching, etc. That may be the root of your difficulty.

Thanked: 1195I've never noticed a difference, and of course in Canada it goes from -30 to +30 during the year.
TMK, hormone levels control beard growth, which can certainly fluctuate.
