Active replica
I am looking for a second razor now. I have found what is billed as a shave ready Sweeney Todd replica straight edge, it is relativly cheap, so price isnt a concern, think it would be worth looking at? FYI, the reason I am interested at all is I am a fan of the Demon Barber, both the broadway production and the Tim Burton adaption.

Thanked: 1263If you want a razor you can use then DON'T buy one of those. They are exactly that, a replica.

Thanked: 15My brother got me one for Christmas not knowing anything about straights, and it was no where near shave ready, and felt about the same quality of a Hasher blade

Thanked: 13247Note to Newbs:
The SR business has grown by leaps and bounds in the last 4 years, so much so that many less then reputable sellers and products have appeared to cash in on your inexperience.. They are not dumb they see that certain words and phrases get higher prices and more responses.. They do not care whether it is true or not they just want your money..
There is actually a vendor out there that sells Paki razors for about $99 he buys them for less then $2, when you complain he offers to sell you a real razor at his huge markup but to give you full credit for the Crapi-Paki razor and let you keep it... So basically you just paid $300 for a $100 razor that still isn't shave ready and you are smiling about it....
Buyer Beware
This is part of what SRP is about we try and educate the new shaver to all the pitfalls, Shaving Honing and wasting money

Thanked: 15You could always save up and commision someone to create you a razor close to the Demon Barber, it would be a great gift to your self when you save up enough.
