    Default Brush and razor stands

Are stands for holding brushes and razors a necessity or a luxory?

I have multiple brushes and two brush stands. One for large knots and another for small. I like to hang my brush overnight to allow better drying. I don't need one for each brush. I stand them on the handles after they are dry. Some guys don't hang their brush and seem to get along fine. I have never had a razor stand so know opinion on that.

Definitely in the optional category. The only stands I have are for some of my DEs. I have none for straights.

Most of my brushes are in stands but some aren't. I don't think it's necessary as long as you shake them out real good after use.

I've heard that letting your brush dry upside down (hair up, sitting on the handle) can weaken the knot and that shaking a brush too hard may also loosen hairs in the knot. I don't know how true that is...IIRC it was Fendrihan's website that said this.
I always use a stand for my brush. It's just a little acrylic stand that cost a few buck off of ebay but it does the job.

I have 7 razors and no stands. I keep it in a wooden box/set. Have no problem with the high humidity in here.
I'm not SBAD [Shaveing Brush Aquisition Disorder] person so I have only two brushes - Omegas Badger and Sprokars Boar. Omega has its own plastic stand and stores in a small cabinet near the razors. My Sprokar is used very rare (I use it when I think my face need some additional massage usually in winter) so I keep it with soaps in a bath

So I think the stands is luxury and someway exgibicionistic razor porn

Not to hijack or anything, but Pixel do you use Koa at all? Is it not a good wood around water for stands and brushes?
