South West get together.
Being still an adolescent in life and shaving, I would love to get together with some people that know what they are doing. I inquired to a Los Angeles meeting to no avail so now I'm taking on the rest of the south west. So who's with me?
I have searched the forum over and didn't see anything about the south west. But if I miss it feel free to direct me in the right way.

Thanked: 284Yup I'm willing to do a little traveling also...
You'd think there'd be more LA based shavers. I know there are a few in the Central Valley too.I love living in the past...

Wellll if no one in the south west wants to participate in a get together is there anyone out there interested in at least meeting me? I believe that the best thing for life and shaving is to listen to those who have gone before you and have learned from their mistakes. Being able to learn from others and get helpful tips in person is an interest of mine. Soooo that being said, anyone in So-Cal interested in passing off some of their much helpful knowledge of shaving/honing/restoration?

The thing about Los Angeles is that they're is always something to do whether it is work or recreation. I live in Los Angeles and work part time and I still struggle to find time for my side projects (cycling, ceramics, straight razor restoration, etc.) I mean weather is nice and most angelinos like to be outdoors. I mean take away the beach, and mountain ranges, moderately warm weather and So Cal becomes the Midwest.

This is true, and no offense to those that live in the midwest... but no thanks.
And I totally agree that there is always something to do here. Though for myself I try to focus on the simplicity of life and not get caught up in doing too much. But to each his own. Living in a studio apartment is my bigest issue with razor restoration. I'm not investing in tools because I have nowhere to use them. Though I am tempted to take the approach of buying small sheets of acrylic and a scroll saw.

I'm always game for good food. Lol and hey, least you have a set of hones. I just got my first barbers hone for touch ups.
Also I appreciate the offer for use of your tools. I got a project razor I've been starring at for awhile. It be nice to finally finish it. We'll have to put something together.
