I personally don't have any issue with Buying Selling and Trading while there because this is a meetup and people are traveling a long way and should have every option we can afford them. Having said this, we don't have room for full time sale tables in the meeting room. The main focus as we all know is on learning and exchanging information. We can handle about 45 + people and be able to seat each person at a table and have room to move around.
I will look at the area tomorrow and see if I can figure out a way to help those people that may want to offer up some of their personal gear. Just as an Idea and the weather works with us, we will have about 2+ acres of parking lot that a tailgate swap could happen in for those that have a truck load of stones. As an option we could set up a time that is dedicated each day and use the area (I say each day as some may not be able to arrive until Sunday).
That is just my $0.02 worth.
Anyone coming got a big tent?

Thanked: 2209I just received 2 emails. JohnP, a very long time member of SRP said he really wants to come but not sure if he can make it.
Marcus Whichard said he would but already has plans for Myrtle Beach.
I appreciate them letting us know.Randolph Tuttle, a SRP Mentor for residents of Minnesota & western Wisconsin

Thanked: 2209Regarding Buy/Sell/Trade at the razor meets.......... I have been to 8 razor meets and in each one some BST was going on.
No vendor had a table exclusively for selling purposes nor conducted themselves in a strictly sales role.
The last razor meet I attended in Kansas City one of the members brought in a big plastic tub filled with vintage razors that he let go for his cost!Lots of guys were very happy!
I usually bring a bunch of razors and hones for show & tell and without fail someone wants to buy!
It is only normal behavior at these Razor Meets.
In all things moderation.Last edited by randydance062449; 03-10-2014 at 05:27 AM.
