UPDATE : Brush Makers and Restoration - Guys This is for You!
Our team has been working the magic, behind the scenes once again, to give you the best experience we can at this meet up! In addition to honing demonstrations, a unique brush turning demo, restoration workshop, hands on stropping area, and personal help with barber hones, the TEAM has added yet another bonus on, Brush Turning! This is definitely the place to ask your questions!
We are happy to announce that through discussions with General Manager, Coleman Fourshee Sr. of Klingspor Woodworking, a demonstrator from Klingspor will be coming up from Hickory, NC, to do demos on brush turning and other items. For those that might not know of Klingspor, they are one of the finest woodworking stores around. Besides making some of the finest abrasive belts and paper, they are great guys to work with!
You can see them here at Klingspor's Woodworking Shop | Quality Tools and Supplies for the Woodworker.
After telling Coleman, that as of 4/3/14, we had close to 40 confirmed people coming from as far away as Kansas City, MO and St. Paul, MN, he said lets help them out with shipping if they want something from us. So after talking this through, Coleman has given us permission to post his phone # and personal extension for anyone that would like Klingspor to bring items with them when they come. You may call him direct and preorder with a 10% discount and it will be brought to you Saturday morning. Lynn Abrams, I know for a fact after spending time in your shop, you use a lot of Klingspor products; so if you are running low or need something they will hand deliver it to the meet up and there will be no shipping charges! If there is something in the catalog you have an interest in, but don’t want to preorder, call in and see if they will bring it so you can take a look at it.
You may contact Coleman at the #’s below.

Currently we have 38 people who will definitely be attending

So, if your definitely attending or maybe attending and have not

Please read all the thread, there is a ton of info that I have not included in this message such as details on what has been planned for the spouses is an example.

I like the soap idea. I'll bring some soaps, some DE blades, and if anyone cares, some moustache waxes. I'm really looking forward to this!

Java,
Glad you are coming and bringing the Moustache wax. I just ran out of firehouse and was going to order some. However with you bringing some, this will give me a chance to see what else there is out there. what do you find is your best holder?
Warpiper has a great idea with this one. He and I have found that the same soap acts totally different between our water type. I am blessed that I have a deep well (600') solid granite with sweet water. I am sure I will be sending lather water home with him.
While I was out in K.C. in January I found that my creams and soaps did not work as well as they did when I was home. Of course it is heavy limestone out there.
As Warpiper stated I would also encourage people to bring water samples from home and see how a soap they try during the meet up works with their water.Last edited by hidestoart; 04-08-2014 at 01:49 AM.
