What I love is the little nuggets that you find that are never written about and are shared almost as an after though.

I have seen threads that Voidmonster’s posted on his stepped collar making process, but until I saw it in action, in person it all made sense… then we brainstormed on how to improve it. Little things, like slowing down the drill press, improved the results.

And 10pup’s leather covered hand sanding sticks and pre-cut sandpaper strips in a partitioned tray for each grit, instead of the shoebox mine are in. These little things that are never posted but make you think… Why didn’t I think of that?

Or just honing on someone else’s stones, maybe a different size or quality, to be able to experience something different than what you are used to expands your depth of knowledge.

I love to look at other peoples shop and their ingenuity. All of us that have a shop in a garage and have to share space with cars, are always looking for ways to use every inch of space and yet able to tuck it all away to pull a car in at night. We all approach it different way, with the same goal in mind.

Did you notice 10pups custom grinding belt holder? Love that stuff.

These knowledge nuggets and spending time with people that share the same passion, make for a short and enjoyable day.
