Thanked: 4206How's Sunday Feb 22 work for folks? January slipped by before I knew it and Feb will too if we don't just throw a date down.
2 weeks from today? Unless others want, I can host again.
Andrew and I kicked around the idea of having the lathes all set up so a few folks could try to turn a brush. Not sure if that is of interest still. I'd need to hit lee valley for some more knots if we do.
Alternatively, early March works too. Snows going to melt soon enough.

That's pretty soon , won't be able to make that date.
Might wanna plan for spring/summer when the suns shining. Gives people some time to plan and be able to make the trip as well.
Either way see you guys soon.

Thanked: 4206I'm ok with the consensus. Agree warmer and sunnier is certainly easier to host and relax. That being said. Every other weekend SWMBO works so I tend to just use those weekend for man projects anyway. So the 22nd of Feb, or March 8, or 22,, etc etc would be the easiest days to set up at my end.
Cheers all."Depression is just anger,, without the enthusiasm."

Thanked: 228422nd I could make work. My wife's B-day dinner with her parents is that day. But another date might be better for everyone by the looks of it.

In regard to the bolded above . . . I have a thick hiking staff that I have had for a number of years, perhaps 2" diameter (not perfectly round) the wood has a very interesting grain pattern. It is approximately 5' long, so surely more than a few brush handles could be turned from this. I would be willing to sacrifice it for all guests to have at least one handle each, if that is acceptable. It has been varnished previous, but I imagine that would only be a small problem. When I get web access back at home, I can post a couple pics to show what I mean.

Feb 22 is out for me. I'll be in Illinois that weekend. March the 8th or 22nd is ok though. Turning a brush sounds very neat.
